Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry is accepting applications for our Lead Training Specialist for the Tennessee High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) position. The position is responsible for training and technical assistance and coaching to assist in the implementation of High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) in Tennessee. The position will provide guidance and content expertise specific to implementing this evidence informed practice model. As a training subject matter expert, this position will provide training and coaching that will assist the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS), Office of Children, Young Adults, and Families (OCYAF) in the implementation of HFW throughout the state of Tennessee. The position's lead assignments include planning, executing, and status reporting of implementation efforts. The Tennessee HFW Lead Training Specialist will also guide and mentor less experienced coaches in the process and assessing its effectiveness
This is a full time (40 hours per week) position and this position may allow for a remote workplace. The position requires flexible hours including travel which will require overnight stays and local state travel. Additionally, this position may require 50% travel time to successfully perform the functions of this vital role. Salary is based on years of practical experience. T h e HFW Lead Training Specialist:
M u st be willing to participate in any and all training and coaching provided be the National Wraparound Implementation Center (NWIC) and OCYAF
M u st be become a certified coach and trainer within the timeframes specified by NWIC
Sh o u ld have a basic understanding of the principles of System of Care and HFW
Will be available to participate in System of Care Across Tennessee (SOCAT) training, events, meetings, and other appointments as required by the state and federal guidelines
Will work closely with the SOCAT Project Director (PD) to ensure that the needs of grantees, partners, and stakeholders are met within appropriate timelines
Responsible for leading the development and execution of High Fidelity Wraparound training program using generally accepted methods appropriate to the training field. Identifies future training needs and strategizes development of training through implementation and evaluation.
L eads the delivery of the High Fidelity Wraparound curricula based on implementation science and adult learning principles.
L eads the development, design, and delivery of training aids for High Fidelity Wraparound such as handouts/workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, online training, and evaluation/self-test using adult learning principles. Responsible for continuously evaluating effectiveness of training materials and revising as needed.
P resent and facilitate High Fidelity Wraparound training programs which apply adult learning concepts, effectively engage participants of varying learning needs and foster learning and implementation of best practice in the field.
Establishes relationships/partnerships and collaborates with external and internal stakeholders to assess and develop long –term implementation and training plans to ensure needs are effectively met.
D e v elops, recommends, modifies and implements policies and procedures and/or methods of technical assistance to meet changing needs and requirements and enforces standards.
P erforms day-to-day operational duties such as: training and guiding interns and/or other less experienced training staff; develops policies, procedures, and/or methods for implementation of training; participating in field visits, and responding to requests and questions from internal and external stakeholders.
P erforms other related duties as assigned.
