Medical specialist launching a new team-based ambulatory addictions recovery service at Kaiser Permanente of Washington for 0.75 FTE and as a team member of a multidisciplinary Pain Service for 0.25 FTE. This physician specializes in diagnosis, management and treatment of addictive disorders in adults in an outpatient clinical setting. General diagnosis and management of addictive and other co-occurring psychiatric disturbances, including psychopharmacology. This physician will provide consultation as part of multi-disciplinary team and may provide consultation on medical/surgical inpatients as needed. Virtual care including video and telephone-based care and some circuit-riding to serve patients over a geographic area.
Completion of Medical Degree and Psychiatric residency and sub-specialty residency in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
Preferred: 2 years of experience in ambulatory addiction specialty treatment setting with office-based buprenorphine treatment, ambulatory management of withdrawal and outpatient induction of treatment with intramuscular naltrexone. Experience working with patients treated for chronic pain.
Unrestricted WA State DOH Physician Licensure
Board Certified or Board Eligible if residencies were completed within the last 2 years. Must become board certified within 3 years of employment.
