This program is a part of the Mental Health Service, responsible for maintaining high-quality residential rehabilitation/treatment service for Veterans with multiple and severe medical conditions, mental illness, addiction, psychosocial deficits. Identifies and address's goal of rehabilitation, recovery, health maintenance, improved quality of life, and community integration in addition to specific treatment of medical conditions, mental illnesses, addictive disorders, and homelessness. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/27/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Rounds will be more frequent if there is a need. Incumbent will plan, evaluate and monitor activities, trips, social functions, rec outings and interventions. They will escort patients to outside-the-facility events, such as appointments with specialists or at testing centers. They will also observe that patient participation in educational, group and recreational activities. The incumbent is responsible for compiling an accurate Gains and Losses Sheet for the Domiciliary for coordination with the hospital's sheet. incumbent performs duties on a 24/7 rotational basis, thus being required to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Incumbent is responsible for notifying the Domiciliary Health Technician Supervisor/Lead, Assistant Domiciliary Chief the Domiciliary Chief or other pertinent Mental Health Service supervisors requiring immediate and appropriate action in resolving any unusual situation.
