Job Summary
The Mental Wellbeing Clinician will serve in a manner which exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of NCHS, acting as a counselor, educator, and advocate. As part of the Employee Health & Wellness team, this role will support the dynamic wellbeing needs of our Nicklaus Children's family. Develops and implements internal mental wellbeing programs, education and training for clinical, non-clinical, and remote employees. Assists with related wellbeing programming and actively works to foster an organizational culture of wellbeing.
***Schedule for this position is primarily Day shift hours, however it will require one evening schedule per week. This position is on site (not remote at all) ***
Job Specific Duties
- Develops and implements internal mental wellbeing programs for clinical, non-clinical, and remote employees. Tracks data and trends, follows up with leaders and employees on feedback, and leads efforts in attaining goals. Evaluates and reports on data for ongoing strategic planning and development.
- Serves as facilitator for internal mental wellbeing programs for all employees such as mental wellbeing debriefs and psychological first aid, etc. Triages staff needs for appropriate referral to programs and resources.
- Establishes pathways for ongoing support and regular interventions related to identifying staff struggling with grief, burnout, stress, etc. Provides supportive referrals to EAP or health plan as appropriate for additional needs or care. Develops strong relationship with leaders to ensure streamlined efforts.
- Develops and implements education and training on relevant wellbeing topics such as mental health, stress-management, and burnout prevention. Drives tactics for effecting positive changes in behavior, emotions, motivation, etc. through various modalities and forums.
- Drives engagements in comprehensive employee health and wellness programs and events. Assists with relevant programming for seven dimensions of wellness and related aspects of wellbeing.
- Acts as an advocate for mental health awareness. Helps to actively foster and promote culture of wellbeing.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in mental health field required
- State of Florida Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- Successfully complete CPI (Crisis Intervention Training) within 60 days of hire - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- American Heart Association AED - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- Level II Background Check And Affidavit of Good Moral Character - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
- 3-5 years of experience in group and individual counseling for adult populations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high change environment and to function independently, at multiple locations and modalities across the system.
- Comfort and ability to work with participants who have behavioral health concerns as well as medical concerns.
- Able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate well with others. Proven track record building relationships.
- Ability to provide effective and efficient clinical and service excellence.
