The Marriage and Family Therapist is assigned to the Psychology Service of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. Incumbent works with couples, families, individuals and groups utilizing systemic theories, requiring expertise in interpersonal relationships, with conceptualizations that are distinct from individually oriented therapies treating a wide range of serious mental health issues including relationship issues, child-parent challenges, depression. A. Administrative Responsibilities: 1. MFT may have some clinical program management responsibilities. 2. May be selected by the Supervisor or Chief of Psychology to serve as the psychology service representative on various Psychology Service, Mental Health Service Line, System-level, or VISN administrative committees or work groups
